Her contributions encompass a range of ongoing initiatives, including but not limited to: curating a comprehensive DEIA resource bank featuring best practices, overseeing the publication of newsletters, designing training and educational materials, conducting in-depth benchmark research, and meticulously tracking DEIA metrics to assess progress across state agencies.
Yosor Alwan recently graduated from Aurora University with a B.A. in Political Science and a B.S. in Marketing. She co-led her University’s Pre-Law Student Association and worked to ensure that every student attending Aurora University had the necessary tools to succeed in a Pre-Law background and ensured an equitable safe space for all. As a staunch advocate for equity, she is also the creator and founder of the LegalEquityProject, a social media project launched to further her commitment in eliminating barriers for members of marginalized groups. The purpose of this social media project is to utilize the power of digital connections in demystifying the process of applying to law school, eliminating financial barriers and accessibility issues, empowering marginalized communities in applying to law school, and providing them with resources.
